Nephro-Safe™ is an innovative advanced securement and stabilizer that protects the patient with a dual layer of protection and innovative features.
First layer - anchoring mechanism
The initial protective layer targets issues with the dangling urine bag and excessive tube tugging. The nephrostomy tube is placed into the Nephro-Safe™ shell, positioned on the patient’s back. A medical adhesive patch secures the device to the patient’s skin, stabilizing it effectively. Once the lid is closed, the tube is locked inside, preventing any dislodgement.
External forces are not transmitted internally, so movements by the patient won’t lead to tube extraction.
Patients can enjoy freedom from external pulls, pain, and embarrassment, enabling an active, confident lifestyle with enhanced comfort and quality of life. The adhesive patch can remain attached for a few days to several weeks.
If the medical team decides to change the nephrostomy tube, it is possible to open Nephro-safe™, change the tube of the patient, and place the new tube in the same Nephro-Safe™ device.
If, for any reason, the medical team needs to replace Nephro-Safe™, without changing the tube, it is possible to open Nephro-Safe™, take the tube out, replace only the Nephro-Safe™ device and put the same tube in the new device.

Second layer - smart anti-slide mechanism
The second protective layer is intended to minimize minor tube movements within the patient’s body caused by everyday activities.
Reducing these small shifts inside the kidney greatly lowers the risk of infections, irritations, and potential pain. This layer eliminates the need to treat new infections or discomfort, saving hospitals substantial costs and significantly decreasing the need for reinsertion procedures.
The nephrostomy tube within the Nephro-Safe™ does not constrict or impede urine flow.
